Walters in, Kinney out, and the lineup
P.J. Walters is in the lineup, pitching and batting ninth today. Josh Kinney was the man sent out to make room for Walters.

Whatever happened to the pitcher batting 8th? I seem to remember reading in the off-season that that was a definite. With todays line-up, Barden could easily bat 9th if that was the plan.

Why is Barden playing SS when he’s best at 3rd and why is Thurston at 3B when he usually plays up the middle? We really need to get Ankiel going man….Any word on us signing a pitcher? Maybe Pedro? That would be sweet if you would agree to pitch out of the bullpen….

Barden is the better defensive player, so he’s at SS. Played there a lot last year at Memphis.
