I had high hopes for Freese this year, loved his potential for extra base hits, but am not surprised to see him send down afer a not so good start. Hope he and Mather both rediscover their grooves. Ditto for Ankiel. It’s hard to see Ankiel struggling out there.
I will take my chances with skip vs. a lefty over brendan ryan against anyone…… why create platoons when they are not an advantage….. also, why not brian barden at second if we must have a right handed hitter in that spot?

How is that not an advantage? Especially considering that Ryan is the superior defender.
