Thursday’s lineup vs RHP Livan Hernandez:

1. Schumaker 2B
2. Rasmus LF

4. Ludwick RF
5. Ankiel CF
6. Barden 3B
7. Ryan SS
8. LaRue C
9. Lohse P

matt, could you explain why molina got benched, he has been batting great recently and I can’t imagine how letting him sit would be good. Is there some kind of history here since I know that is why greene would be out.

Was this a planned day off for Yadi, or is he feeling the effects of that hand problem he had last night?

Just a day off, with the day game after a night game.

At this point I’m just hoping we get to see this lineup again soon. It’s not that I think it’s the best one to run out there, just that I hope we CAN see it again.😦 Matthew, please keep us posted on Lohse’s knee … thanks, and I wish I didn’t have to ask …

Lots of talk about Ankiel’s ‘stache. I hope to see an in-depth article on its origins sometime soon! LOL.

hey Matt,

just wanted to let you know that I’m currently platooning Rasmus and Ankiel in my fantasy league, and your site has been a fantastic resource for the daily starting lineup. I’m from Boston, so I’m not a Cardinals fan, but I came across your site when I realized that you have the lineups posted before even ESPN does! I’m now waiting on Friday night’s lineup. Thanks, keep up the good work!

I am conflicted about Ankiel’s stache. At first I like it. It reminds me of Magnum PI or the guy on Reno 911. On the other hand, it makes him look like a pedder ***. As for whether he should shave it, as long as he makes catches like the one yesterday and goess 3 for 4 with two doubles and a homer, I say he can keep it.
