How long can management continue without addressing the glaring weakness in the middle of our defense? We’re getting nothing offensively and now we can’t field the ball at shortstop.
Our pitching has been awesome except for one starter. Even though another has leveled off, Lohse hasn’t been effective.
The season is still young, but we can’t continue to get “also-ran” production at shortstop and second.
Would hope that these men get better. The Reds are breathing down our necks. Hope won’t get it, however.
C’mon… Ryan is in a slump. The idea that “management” must “address the glaring weakness” at shortstop just doesn’t fly IMO. He’s an elite defender who’s had a bad three games. If Pujols goes 0-for-12 over three games, they’re not going to go find a new 1B. Ryan is an elite defender. He’ll be fine.
