Tough loss tonight for the Cards and Wano, he deserved better.
Matt, so you have any insight as to the realtionship between Pujols and Holliday? I ask because I see on TV Holliday by himself in the dugout(OR McGwire) and Pujols up and talking to everyone. Is there some animosity going on here? I’m not sure that Pujol’s feels that Holliday can fill the 4 hole, maybe thats why he is expanding his zone this season….
Why bat the P 8th if you can’t turn the order over enough each game to make it worthwhile? Has anyone asked TLR why he continues? Really opposing P have only 6 quality MLB batters to get out during the game.

TLR has never believed that Rasmus could be a player at this level, that PH Friday night was cold even for him.
Can’t wait for Lopez

Matt: I’ll grant that the offense hasn’t really been clicking – and so you send Schumaker with two already out in the ninth – but it seems to me that the Cards may just be leading the league in runners thrown out at the plate. Any thoughts? BTW: the irony of the Civil Rights game as Selig refuses to even consider moving next year’s All-Star game out of AZ is pretty strong.
