Hmm. I know Laird played for us last year, but I wonder whether or not this is a good move. Seems to me that our main problem (aside from Westbrook’s first start and Frankin’s closing problem) has not been pitching…it’s been our offense. It seems to make more sense to keep in Yadi – a guy that’s super hard to strike out and a guy with years of valuable experience – rather than resorting to a guy with half of Yadi’s credentials.
I do, however, predict that Lohse will pitch a good game. In his last game, Lohse did a great job…except for the 6th inning, and the problem there was more mental than physical…and mental issues tend to work themselves out over the season. I think, aside from the Laird move, that we might pull this one out of the bag and leave SF with at least one win…but three positive games.
Laird played for us last year? I don’t believe so.
I think it’s worth noting that Molina isn’t exactly killing the ball. It’s entirely possible that at the moment Laird is the better offensive option.
we will lose because lohse will get roughed up
I think Lohse will pull it off. This has been a rough start, but extremely predictable.
it was larue not laird
franklin needs to go
